M-Power offers two different styles of diamond files in a combination of grits to make sharpening home, shop, and garden tools a quick and easy task.
5 x 1 Single-Handed File
Unlike the folding variety of small diamond files from other manufacturers, the Diamond Cross 5 File is a sturdier, general-purpose file. As with all of the Diamond Cross files, they have a single solid piece of 1/16th Stainless Steel at their core which runs right through under the handle providing a comfortably robust feeling. The DC 5 File can be used for sharpening any number of different tools found in the kitchen, workshop or garden shed.
Features a double-sided 300-600 Grit: Coarse 50Micron (300 grit diamond grade) for edge preparation and Fine 25Micron (600 grit diamond grade) for honing. General-purpose stone is extremely versatile providing the ability to sharpen a wide array of tools. Handy size is just as at home in the kitchen drawer as in the workshop
4 x 1 Twin-Handle File
The fundamental issue when sharpening larger blades, such as shears or mower blades, is maintaining a consistent contact at the correct angle along the entire length of the blade. Inspired by the traditional spokeshave, the Diamond Cross Twin-Handle File has been developed to enable the user to employ both hands when sharpening.
The Twin-Handle file is offered in two versions:
- 100/300-grit Combo. The 100-grit is extra coarse and has the highest abrasion rate helping to remove blade nicks more quickly. The 300-grit is used to prepare for honing or finishing the blade edge of a mower.
- 300/600-grit Combo. The 300-grit would prepare the edge on an axe or shears. The 600-grit is used for final honing.
