The applicator point can depress the detent ball of a grease fitting and create a seal by making contact between the ball housing leaving very little residual behind. This is ideal for applying grease to tight spaces where a traditional grease gun would not be able to reach.

The gun uses vacuum created by pumping the handle to suck the grease up out of the storage tube; dispensing precisely in a narrow stream with no mess. This is much cleaner than the traditional method of applying grease with your fingers, which can often lead to grease getting on your hands and clothes.
